a meet every friday on inkester and 11 mile. starts at around 8 or 9pm. a bunch of cars from the detroit area hang out in a parking lot.

Latest Woodward update:

Redline meets have been 'policed' to keep them manageable, but a few "I'll do whatever I want" asshats (kept out of the Redline meets) have been showing up at the usual after-Redline hangouts, behaved like complete out-of-control morons, attracted some very unwelcome attention from the POPO, and royally pissed off just about every (previously cruiser-friendly) business owner.

We've all been trying to get the situation under control & hoping it'd settle down, but these few asshats just don't get it -- they got even worse and everyone else was blamed for it.

Police & business owners have made it known that they're absolutely fed up with the situation: rather than try to track down a few morons who're making problems, they're cracking down on EVERYBODY.

Well, thanks to these 'kiddies' -- the POPO has given formal written notice (can you say 'ticket-happy' !?!?!) that we're officially kicked out of ALL our 'regular' spots/haunts and not welcome to hang out ANYWHERE...

...and ever since F&F3:TD came out, Police Depts along Woodward (and Gratiot) have been cracking down & handing out tickets for even the slightest infraction...

I dunno what to do. Suggestions?

What if you moved the meet to somewhere else? I know otter wanted to do an install day/meet here in Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor but that fell through. Cops are a little friendlier over here :)

I was talking to the manager (Dan Kalish) of Street Legal Customs last Friday night:

I've got a verbal agreement from him to let us hang out at his shop for the night!!

Woodward frontage/parking in front of their shop will be exclusively for miEVO members (especially Evolutions ;) ), and we have 1st dibs on spaces in their private side lot... enough for a total of 20+ cars ?!?

It's not exactly the 'center of the action' for Woodward, but it's a safe place to get together & hangout - since the owner has given us permission to be there (and will be there also), hassles from the POPO (for being parked, at least :rolleyes: ) should be ZERO!
BTW - The owners are very cool. Great people - they have a bbq at their shop every Sat from 1~4pm. Stop by, check 'em out & tell 'em the 'Smiley' Evo told ya 'bout 'em... ;)

But, wouldn't you know it....
Because of repeated complaints (caused by a few 'kiddie asshats'), the owners of the 'Redline' meet location finally decided that enough is enough, and have made it known that we are no longer welcome to hold any meets there: the POPO are strictly enforcing their decision.

As of yet, no replacement 'Redline' location has been set. Because of past problems, expect it to be fairly heavily policed (self/patrol cars) for foreseeable future, and pretty much a members-only / invitation-only type of gathering.

Pretty damn near impossible to find a place to hang out & cruise lately: POPO everywhere, and ticketing like you wouldn't believe!
(ie: Over the last 3 weeks, I know of at least 30 people who've received tickets... 90+ between just 30 of us!! :p )

hey, if you get your injectors by that time, i will be able to rescale them in your ecu so you wont need a retune. or maybe i will be able to hook up my wideband for a full custome tune! =)

I NEED A FULL CUSTOM TUNE!!! Should I wait, or see what you can do. Remember though, I have METH injection. you can't tune that can you? I have some XEDE maps for the meth, and have help with others on evom, ie Ludikraut/cajun power etc... they are trying to "spoon feed" me with this stuff. we can chat later!!

well i dont see how tunning for meth would be much different. i already know how to rescale the ecu to read more booost i.e. 29 psi and i know that i can tune to a much leaner a/f ratio.
give me a call sometime tomorrow so we can discuss this more. i will be doing some more research on tuning for meth.

i just sent in my ECU to Buschur to get it flashed and UPS said it wont get there till friday so if everything goes ok and the reinstallation is no problem i'll come up on next friday to meet some of you guyss...

Haven't done anything other than try to find a meeting spot - busy with family stuff lately, and trying to spend a bit more time with the wife & kids... an essential part of the Evo upgrade process, ya know! :rolleyes:

well its starting of not too serious....but who knows where this project could end up lol. Right now I am just porting out the stock exhaust manifold (plus the 2 others I have) and sending them along with the ebay 02 housing off to swain for the ceramic coating! Their stuff is awesome.

Then I am working on a new fuel rail which can work with the factory fpr or with an aftermarket one.

Lastly I am working on a new throtle body as well. So fun stuff!

Still waiting on the Revolver cams or I would be pulling the head.....

Not really sure how this works but I have seen other club meets in Novi "BW3's". They have a large parking lot etc. I have seen meets also at the BW3's in Westland "Jeep Meet".

Also just passed a Hot Rod shop on Plymouth in Livonia "used to be Ram Chargers" near Newburgh.

Just some suggestions.

Should be lots of cruisers out, and opportunities for uh, 'fun' ;) , further north on Woodward... just be safe!!

I'll try, but doubt that I'll be able to make it to this because it's my son's birthday, and the Evo is in the repair shop. So tell Ben & his father Jay that the :) Yellow Evo said "Hi !", and try not to give Ben too much grief just because he drives an STi !!

While at LSK, take time to check out their place, ask about their Sat BBQs., & get to know the owners.

Yeah, our meet spot got taken over by the Fast and the Furious Crowd. I've never been up there before on a Friday or Saturday, so it was interesting seeing all the cars up there. But sad not a lot of EVOs were there.....

Dissapointed, I saw 15 people to meet up at the place at 9pm. I was looking forward to a fun night, but only 3 others showed up. I basically went and left, since there wasn't really anything to do.


I did however race a mustang and truck. Smoked them both, thats just funny to think they had a chance.
