Well, my priorities would be:

#1 - House (pay off / pay down, do repairs, maint. & redecorating), then
#2 - Eliminate or drastically reduce any debts, then
#3 - Invest / save / 401k / 'rainy day fund' (vast majority of what's left), and lastly...
#4 - 'toy' money. Keep it somewhat reasonable - do what you'll be happy with, but remember that if / when sell the car, 99.9999% of the time you'll take a loss on anything put into it!

1. Fund my turbo kit.
2. Pay off the mortgage, or a large portion of it. Freeing up tons of income for other things, like toys.
3. If you don't have a mortgage, find a way to somewhat safely invest the money. Mutual funds, or a high interest CD account. If you're feeling lucky, try out some stocks.

good advice from Bob. I don't know if I could keep from buying a zo6 if I had that kind of cash...

if cars are your #1 hobby, then go all out and race as much as you have time for. Most of us would do a lot more if we had the cash. Actually I think I would take a trip to Nurburbring in Germany and rent a car for a day or two and beat the crap out of it.

But if you've got some other hobbies, or a dream that takes a lot of cash to pursue, go for it man!

Sell the house, put the 180,000 onto a MUCH larger house!

Another thing that occured to me, with that kind of money, you can afford to start investing in real estate and get into flipping. You know, find a $50k house in a $80k neighborhood, put $10k of work into it, then sell it for a $20k profit. Do it over and over, that'd be a good paycheck.

Well, it all depends what YOU want to do with YOUR car....

The 9 has a great turbo and ecu capabilities from the factory....If someone wanted a big turbo and stand alone I would def. say, save some money and start with and older evo.
