Hi all! I am new to miEVO.net. I am the former owner of a 2005 Evolotuion MR and took delivery of a 2006 Evolution MR yesterday. 8)
To make this happen, I traded my '05 MR :( so it is now sitting on the dealers' lot waiting for a new garage to call home.
The car is Phoenix Red and has approx. 16.5K miles. The car is in great condition and has not been raced or Auto X'ed by me. It has the original Yokohama Advans on it that have only 1K miles on them as I switched them out almost immediately due to MI weather.
Drop me a line and I will put you in contact with my sales person if you are interested. Better make it quick as I do not think that it will be there very long!

That would be a sweet car to have indeed. Welcome to miEVO.net. It sounds like you like EVO's and that is no exception to the rest of us. Make yourself at home and tell us some more about yourself.
Any idea what they will be asking?

I contacted my salesman, Devin (Showcase Mitsubishi, Bay City, MI; 989-684-0500) and he informally estimates that the selling price will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $28-$29K (Kelly Blue Book - $32.2K), but nothing is final as of yet. Per my conversation with Devin and the Sales Mgr, they are highly motivated to sell this car, so I would expect that it will not be around for long. So, if you are interested I would give Devin a call sooner rather than later. Devin and the team there at Showcase are very knowledgeable about the EVO and its performance and most are avid racing enthusiasts some even winning national recognition for their racing skills.
I wish that I had had the time to sell the car myself, but as I was anxious to get it before my trip, and I did not want to deal with the hassle that sometimes comes after the sale, I decided to take the loss and let the dealership have it.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to drop me a line.

My commission, my friend, is the satisfaction of knowing that my former EVO MR has found a new garage to call home where it will be appreciated for the fine car that it is. :)

I saw it sitting behind the fence. They have not put it on the lot yet. It is beautiful. Although I am not longing for that payment again. Maybe they will cut me a HELL of a deal that I won't be able to refuse. Somethins like 29k OTD would almost be irreistable. I don't want to get laughed at so i don't really want to ask.
I miss my EVO!

Nahhh...an 06' is too pricey for me.
Although I was just high bidder reserve not met on this 05 Red MR on Ebay. I bid 27k and it ended and 26k. I know Ebay is always lower than everywhere else although this is a good determination that the EVO at showcase with more miles may be in this price range I am after. I am beginining to think very naughty. I would love to have an MR in my driveway even if I HAD to keep it stock. It is a flawless car.

You are so RIGHT! How strange it would be to drive a stock car though. I don't think settling with a (stock) MR is a bad thing though!! :!:
At least the 05 is a limited edition!

Joe, sounds like the Evo bug bit you pretty bad! Decided not to go with the other car choice after all, eh?
'Settling' for an MR doesn't sound too bad... softer ride, front LSD, warranty period much longer than the '03s, etc., etc.
evo692 - Welcome!
BTW - what mudflaps do you have? The black 'CF-look' ones, or the red set?
I've yet to come across another mudflap-equipped Evo in person: pricey buggers, but real paint savers, and IMHO look great too!
Knew I wouldn't always be the only local Evo to sport 'em...

If you want i'll be the little devil guy on your shoulder telling you to get it. How else do you think i justify spending money the way i do, haha. Besides, with all the great events lining up for the season, you will be missing the evo even more. Now is the time to buy and save $$$. You will thank me later.

Yeah yeah well it probably won't happen. This is just the begining of my withdrawls. If they throw me that good of a deal I may have to change my mind. I think I can stand buying a used EVo if I can stand buying a used car of a different type. Thanks for the support everyone!

I went in there today. The MR is not the lot. It is awaiting a good cleaning and nothing else. They gave me almost the offer I cannot refuse. Closer to 30k OTD. I will have to think about it although even with my new promotion I don't think that I can afford it.
I shall see.

Joe's EVO8, I have to agree with the others' comments, a 2005 EVO MR at $30K OTD is a very good deal if you can make it happen. Don't forget though, you will need a different set of tires as the stock Yokohama Advans that are on it now will need to be replaced for the winter. I am thinking about getting a set of either the Pirelli PZero Nero M+S or the Toyo 4 in 245/45/R17 and would be willing to make you a deal on my Continental Extreme Contacts if you are interested. Let me know as I will be heading out of town soon and will be gone all week - which is why I will not be able to see all of you at the 2006 NAI Auto Show on Thursday next week.
JohnJohnTurboTron, per your request, I have attached a few pictures that I just took after running my '06 EVO MR through the car wash this afternoon.
EvoGLH, IMHO, as I'm sure you'd agree, the mud flaps, despite of their expense, are priceless when it comes to keeping ones car clean after a wash. And I too think that they look, in the words of Tony the Tiger, GRRREEEAAATTT!!! 8)
