Everyone get your snow tires ready!!! I see the white stuff a comin'.

I almost wrecked today cause I had 4 bald Azenis on my car when it started snowing. I was down in Flint for work. So I come home to change my wheels, jack up the car and BAM! The car slips off the jack and the jack smashed the he!! out of the intercooler and various other little bits up around that area.

The intercooler mounting brackets broke and it got shoved up into the front bumper, making part of it bulge out. The car still runs, so I don't know if I screwed up any of the IC piping or anything else. The radiator does not appear to have been damaged. It was wet and kind of dark so I haven't gotten a good look at the damage yet.

So anyway, no playing in the snow for me for a while. I am so disappointed. Anyone want to loan me an EVO to go play in the snow with??

Threw my snow tires on last night and shoveled my driveway this morning. Unfortunately, torquey FWD cars aren't as fun in the snow as powerful AWD ones. You Evo guys are lucky. :)

whew... I've been away for awhile huh?! Just moved into a new house so I haven't had internet until today. Anyways, I just got my blizzaks put back on and now I remember how much flex they have when you turn... ouch! They're floaty as hell, but they are so reliable, not to mention fun in the snow and ice. I drove to Traverse City in a blizzard this Thanksgiving and had no problems at all. There were lots of cars in the ditch though. when I got home I found a good parking lot to play in. Made my 2 1/2 year old laugh histerically

That reminds me Joe, didn't you say once that you bought your tires from discount, and that they remount yours for free? Maybe that wasn't you, but they charged me $58 bucks to mount again. I purchased the lifetime balancing, but that's apparantly voided when you dismount them. oh well...

Sounds like a Discount screw job! Oh well, I have been better friends with the guys at Belle tire. Although they don't have the Falken Azenis that I want I may just have them mount those next year when I buy em.
