I've only been a member since the spring, but just in that time the amount of active posters has easily doubled, maybe tripled over the summer. This is turning in to a really great place to conversate with other michigan based evo owners. I feel like next spring/summer will have some great events to attend and am already excited about the prospects.

On that note, I plan to organize/host two big evo (of course the lancer crew is invited too) meets next year. One being in the late spring to get the summer started right and one in the late summer to cap off the season. Buschur Racing and AMS have told me that they will attend one of our meets next year, so I assure everyone that it will be a great time.

Personally I can't wait for next summer, as I have only been driving my corolla for a week and am sick of it.

Yes we have almost 100 members! I deleted a few -0- posters to clean things up. i am glad to see all of the EVOcomotion on the site. We have had some people sell heir EVO's and other ones buy some and joined. I feel for 06' that the Detroit area is an untapped resource for future events and plans. Furthermore I look forward to the possibility of making a Midwest EVO meet, the first of its kind and yes of course this is for Lancer owners too! Maybe make it like some type of road rally, starting in Detroit stopping in Kazoo, stopping thru Chicago, and then ending up in Indianapoils. Picking up members at every stop would be awesome. Maybe even crusing some side roads to add some spice to it too.

I have been working on some advertising for the site too. I think it is time that I poll some members off from EVOm and other sites. Spoteed cards, forums upgrades, and a whole new banner design are in the works this Winter.

That would be a good thing to do next spring when SmokedMustang puts on the next Winged Warrior Show/AutoX/Time Trials near Indianapolis.

I would agree, I think his meet would be a great time to meet up with everyone. This could be a mid spring event. I am unsure if he has a date set for next year, although maybe I can work with him to make it a Sunday event to allow for the Rally.

Tail of the Dragon

http://www.tailofthedragon.com/

"The Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap, with 318 curves in 11 miles, is America’s number one motorcycle and sports car road. The nearby Cherohala Skyway is quickly becoming number two with its remote 60 miles of scenic mountain highway. The area also has other roads less traveled, but just as exciting. Come and discover them all."

Haven't done this route in the Evo yet, but back when my GLH was in top form, used to do this route up to 3x a year...

Absolutely awsome!!

Something I've wondered about Tail of the Dragon - with all its fame for being the ultimate road, isn't there some kind of increased law enforcement presence?

I'm with Rob on getting a midwest rally scheduled to pass through the Winged Warrior (smokedmustang's event) next spring if he has another one. Why wouldn't he?

As for the dragon, that sounds like a dream come true, but north carolina?

He's definitely having another one. Has already started taking the promo photos. http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=164756

The Dragon in North Carolina is supposes to be a blast! My brother Zak has gone I think four times with the MINI club, he also owns a black twincharged (turbo'd and supercharged) MINI. I am going in May, and everyone that has been says it is something every performance driver should do! It only takes about 11 hours to get there too!
