What Kind of cars always want to race your evo

I have had my evo for 3 weeks and every time I am out driving there is somebody in a newer camaro,transam, or firebird that wants to race. Domestic people hate these cars I had a guy down shift two gears and almost blow up his camaro as I was pulling in my driveway.

People up here in Bay City think its another rice burner. ONly about 1% of them have a clue. When I do get the chance to race people get confused when they hear the BOV. I am recirc so it doesn't seem that loud.

Yep, thats Michigan - wouldnt expect anything less - its the big 3 home turf. And we have imports, rare ones at that, and its scares those v8 guys to know a I4 T can run with, or out run them.

I still get some crap from friends because I went from a 76 400 hp Vette and 96 Impala SS to Sport Compact.

When I was back got a lot of the same. My brother has a 98 Z28 (way not stock) - given we are brothers, but he talks a lot of crap when I am home. As of now, its still debatable who is quicker.

At Woodward I had nothing but respect, well aside from some idoits telling me to do a burn out. (Which is only funny when you see the looks on their faces when you say AWD.) Not many people knew what an Evo was when I was in the WDC, somewhat surprised. And I didnt see any other Evos there??? I was there all day, my soon-to-be-ex-company had a tent at 13 mile and Woodward.

But anyway, yep Vettes, Vipers, Camaros, TransAms, and stupid Hondas with fart mufflers, I dont bother with any - not worth it. Usually just stares and thumb ups.
