Wow I thought they were all done. I might have to think about this. I have some pent up frustration that I need to take out on my car. I will check MY-A-E.

I thought the local season was done too...

Autocross at the GM-Cadillac Assembly Plant, huh?
If anyone's going, I might go to watch (don't have a helmet yet.)

[edit - OOPS! Thought this was referring to the Belleville rallycross event - perfect opportunity to finally get a chance to put my dirt-lovin' all seasons & mudflaps to use! (Wife & I show our dogs at the Wayne County Fairground: can't tell you how many times I've wanted to unleash the Evo on the grounds there...)]

It's set up in the parking lot, and loner helmets are 1$.

Registration 9-11 then 12-1. Drivers meeting 10:45, FCO at 11. Goes untill everyone finished. They allow hot laps, so you only stage once then can do you 4 laps at any time thereafter without wating. Ending depends on how many cars show up. Would expect it to go to 3. Check out CCM website for their details. Every autocross on the same schedule for years.

My first autocross in a long, loooong time.

Adam - Thanks for the heads-up about this, had a blast!

Ashley - great to see you there: thanks for the use of your helmet, walking the course with me & giving me those tips.

Hope to see everybody at more events, come spring.

* note to self: don't do this again on all-season tires!!
(Even though it was so much fun hearing them scream at the limits of their traction... almost 12 hours later, car still smells very strongly of burnt rubber!)

I was watching you guys. One of you did this vicious 4tire spinning launch that made me cringe a little. OUCH but the car just took off! I was one of the guys in the tan stratus. We were in a big rush and didn't have much time to talk to anyone. Hopefully I will see you guys and more at future autocrosses next year.
