Just thought I'd share. The other day I filled my front engine mount. Was friggin' easy, easier than the pulley install.

The rear mount, however, scared me. I'm not sure how I'm going to get that out without using 3 feet of socket extensions.

There is less movement coming from the engine, I can feel it, but there's still some there, which I don't think is going to go away until I fill the rear mount. I did try a hard 1-2 shift, and it still had a grind, so engine still moves too much :( Overall, though, for the effort involved, it was worth it to fill that front mount.

You are supposed to let the windowweld dry over many applications, as in it could take the entire day to let it dry. I hope you did this.

Nope, I used a different method that people had success with. Packed it in there all at once, then tossed it into a 180 degree oven for about 4 hours to get the curing going. Then let it sit on the bench for another 20 (until the next morning) then installed. I have about 1500 miles on it now, and shows no signs of pushing out.

I like that idea!! I think I may do this instead. Sounds much easier. Do you notice anymore vibration?

Barely, but I already had quite a bit of resonating from the downpipe.

Honestly, just filling the front mount isn't holding the engine as much as I'd like... it's definitely an improvement, but I think I'm going to have to fill the rear mount before I'm completely happy.

What do you use to fill it with again? Window weld or something like that? I really need to fill my mounts as well. I never realized how much the engine moved until I was throttling it from the engine and that sucker moves!

Yeah, 3M windo-weld. Murray's carries it in the same spot as the winshield repair stuff.

Last night I pulled both mounts. Rear one took awhile, but with some patience and weird twisting of the hand, I got it out. When you take this on, make sure you have at least 14" worth of ratchet extensions, if not more. Pulled the window weld out of the front mount, and redid it (better this time), as well as the front one. They're in the oven right now, curing, and will go back in tonight. Tomorrow I'll drive on it and we'll see what the improvement is.
