I would like to make a place on the mainpage where I post dynosheets and mods that accompany those slips/dynos. This would be a good area to see what certain mods do on the track that don't mean nothing on the dyno and so forth.

As of now Godspeed is our Dyno sponsor for a good AWD dyno to go to.

Was this a custom flash/tune? Also is this an 05? Those are nice dyno #'s!! I look forward to my tune with my 10.5 hotside and reflash from TT.

Hey Joe,

Thanks - yep 05.

Custom tune on all my current mods.

The 10.5 makes about 20 whp over the 9.8 housings - its a great mod for 03/04s.

You will notice the difference.

latest trip to the drags was on my old set up and yes i have dyno graphs....i think they are on here actually and a timeslip...would have to scan it though. Let me know if you want any of that info Joe.

OLD SETUP
went 12.33 @110 on C16 running 26psi tapering to 22.

95 deg. heat btw.

I am really hopeing to make it out to lapeer in the next couple weeks weather permitting and i get my car back together soon....and nothing else happens lol.

well, i do believe the t/c broke. the other day after my last tune we were practice launching on the 2step and on the 2nd launch as soon as the clutch went out...bam...and no tire spin....then the car took off but made some bad clunking noises....limped it home and found both the inner straps on the cv boots came off! Strange. After talking with John from TRE and told him some of the symptons...he assured me my front diff was gone. So today i just finished pulling out the t/c and am going to try and get that to him tomorrow for a lsd. I think (hope) the tranny is still fine....it shited fine and all. So thats my situation....but the car screams now on the new setup lol.

I see, did you pull the steering rack to get the t-case out?

PPI
11-11-2005, 10:20 AM
nope....although you and i doing the clutch gave me the confidence to do this. I bought the slide hammer (worked so nice)....unbolted the buttom engine mounts and removed the cradle...Bob swung the motor forward and out came the t/c.

What did that awesome pices of OE tooling set you back? I haven't forgot about those cams, although buying a house is much more important.

All right! Now we are talking...you needed to do this sooner or later anyway! What advise did Jon at TRE give? What type of diff are you getting?

60' - 1.76
1/8 - 7.71 @90.14
1/4 - 11.94 @ 119.63

That's at 25psi, VP C-16, around 380whp on a dynojet. Bad wheelspin and hop all through first gear. If I could hook up I could knock a couple more 1/10ths off.

Update to my times - 12.801 @ 109.4

I ran 3 consitant 12.8x runs. Prby because of my new shift light. 8)

Same parts as below - Im pretty happy with the street setup. 93 slashed with 110 just for the knock and to be safe @ 22 psi to 7K.

There were too many people there to run just race fuel and more boost. It takes me a run or two to dial that all in, and with all the people at Island Dragway, it took about an hour per run. So that was no fun.

Ah, just have to work on it next spring.

the spider gears were all tore to hell....lol. clutch drops not good....

The new t/c arrives today via ups from TRE. I dropped it off to him a while back. I ended up going with the Ralliart lsd with new ring and pinion gears.

Nice time EVOlutionary....119 is a nice mph....is that on the stock turbo if so what year is your car?

. . . Nice time EVOlutionary....119 is a nice mph....is that on the stock turbo if so what year is your car?

Thanks man, I was pretty happy with it. That was on a completely stock turbo, '04, ~25psi.

BTW, why did you decide on the Ralliart LSD? I am in need of one, buying it this winter, and I am trying to research the choices and get people's feedback. I was planning on the Quaife LSD, haven't heard much about the Ralliart.

Thanks!

damn...that is got to be one of the highest if not the highest mph for a true, stock turbo 03-04 i have ever heard! Who tuned your car, and what mods do you have if you don't mind? you can pm me if you like.

I went with the Ralliart one, its about 400 or bucks cheaper. Jon at TRE said he has never had a Ralliart lsd break and he guarantees them for 1 year. That was good enough for me. I take his advice  the new t/c just showed up today....so it goes in on Fri.

The 11.9@119 came on my very first run at the track with this tune. I ran about 6 more runs and kept trying to duplicate it but I just got slower. My TC or front diff. is on it's way out, and I think my motor mounts are getting worn also. I started getting alot of wheel hop, and there also seems to be an increasing amount of lash in the driveline.

Guess I better save my pennies this winter to replace it all.

Power wise I have the usual goodies. Exhaust, intake, MBC, hard IC pipes, 255 fuel pump, 280 cams, and an AEM EMS tuned by Tym Switzer. Stock IC, stock injectors, stock turbo.

Interestingly, Tym said he thought he could make more power on a stock turbo car with the STOCK cams, vs the 280's. Also he said I could get some more power if I went with bigger injectors, as the stock ones are about maxxed out with the EMS system.

Well, I finally got my Evo the way I like it..... for now. Dan and the techs at Godspeed hooked me up and tuned it on the dyno to the following figures:

HP = 298 TQ = 285

I was running with just the New intake and the turbo-back exhaust upgrade, and yeah... that was a mistake. Now that the Apexi unit is in with the boost controller, it runs like silk. The spool up is quicker.... 20psi. Im thinking that I will likely get a twin-scroll compatable header, cams and gears. This should put me close to my goal of 350 HP.

I just wanted to post this here since i have heard a bit of negativity concerning Godspeed. They did what I asked them to do and they performed well.

Sweet cannot wait to compare your ralliart vs. my quaife! Just so we can see and post what the differences are on the street...ie. left turn, right turn, wot straight line. Wayne I think evodave runs a ralliart and loves it!

Nice to see another happy Switzer customer and man nice as mph, I think that this is fastest mph on the stock 04 turbo! 2.1 mph faster than Curt Browns old best on his stock turbo. Man Tym can tune and it seems you can drive..nice work!
