"The First Annual Dyno Day and BBQ will be being held on Saturday July 16th. This is to show appreciation to our customers and let them get an idea of what there car will make on the dyno.

Autowerks will be getting a caravan of customers together from there area also. I think this will be a good outting.

You will get 2-3 runs with wide band o2 and boost for $55 dollars for the 2 wheel drive cars, $85 for the AWD cars. We will have food and drinks for all the dyno users. We will need about 20 cars to make this happen.

Please either contact us at sales@godspeedinc.com or call us at 1-248-305-8140 and for Autowerks you can contact then at sales@autowerksmotorsport.com or 1-248-545-8903 to RSVP and for further information.

Dan added this note later on:

"...I will have to do it [AWD dynos] either at the end of the event or the start of, due to the way we are running the dyno which is using two wheel adapters per every car that is front or rear wheel drive (half the down time.)

I am willing to do the AWD cars for $85 a pop. We will be able to squeeze them in but they will have to be here bright and early or check in throughout the day to see how it's going and then show up toward the end. I am sorry if this sounds like a pain for all you AWD owners. I am doing the best I can for a pretty good deal."

I'm still in, as long as my car gets a 'clean bill of health' regarding that weird ticking noise I told [GreedMoto & RSBoy] about - it keeps getting even louder!

As far as I know, Evo's are gonna be the only AWD cars there to dyno.

Payn posted on a couple of other boards that he's got his business up for sale right now: is accepting offers, will include the dyno for the right price, and will "train" the new owners too!

Tempting...

Well I heard about your current lack there of for your job situation. I imagine you would have the right drive and skills to do it for a living. I think you would be great just make sure to keep Tom around for a while to do some tuning so you can really jump in on it. If my life was a couple of years forward and I had some financial pull I would be very interested in making it happen too.

The event was a success. We had 4 EVO's pulling dyno's here. I had the best for the day, although still low at 265hp/262tq. I have simple bolt ons and I am not tuned. I was tuned until the dealership decided to blow it away with their P300 flash, but hey thats cool it was still a good time and a great baseline.

I now dream of cams, standalones, and fmics.

Gee - guess I'm officially the 'slowest/lowest HP' documented Evo here. 235hp/245tq bone stock - but not for long!

At least I did better than 2/3 the cars there (including the modded SRT-4.)

Wife didn't even bother asking what I dyno'd - first thing she asked was "...so how long is the (mod) list, and how much is it going to cost?" (my answer: $10 to $15K - and she didn't even blink at those numbers! Gotta love her...)

On my way home after dynoing, found out the hard way that I'd had a huge hole in the exhaust pipe the whole time - my tailpipe fell off on the freeway!!

holy shit?!?

Joe, you should see if TurboTrix will give you a major discount considering you JUST had yours flashed a month or two ago. I would think they would help a brother out.

Yes they will. It has to get sent to Japan. They are unable to do it directly.
