Hey everybody - anyone got some good ideas for photo business cards to hand out?

I keep coming across people looking to join forums, want to know my board name & info, etc. Can't always find a pen/paper when I need to, and since my writing hand is in a cast for the next few weeks, trying to exchange info is a real PITA.

I've got an Epson R800 printer for making 'em, and am willing to make a few sets of cards for other members too...

Anyone???

No problem. Those itty-bitty plates I made for ya show what the printer can do - just imagine what a photo card of your ride (with your info) would look like!

Flyers (personalized!?!) for those not in the know about our cars would be nice: often, after numerous instances of having to answer the same questions over & over again, I wish I had a sheet I could just throw on the window...

DUUUDE> I have been wanting to do this for a while, but haven't had the ambition I guess. Just think of how much easier Woodward would be if all we had to do is pass out flyers! At the top, it could say, "AWD Cars don't do burnouts!" I was thinking yesterday how there's this house on the corner with some old people that have yelled at me cuz they can hear my car accelerate, even though I was accelerating at a normal rate, and they thought I was pushing my car hard (yea if they only knew). I want to send them something in the mail to educate them about some very basic mechanical knowledge and about Evos in particular. Hmm...

I bet if you had my black car they would never say anything.

I really dig this business card idea. I am unsure how it would work although there was this tint shop that printed business cards on a dark clear tint looking card. It was really cool. Although to stick with white stock I am sure a picture of a car set on the background as a watermark with the details on there would work out great.

Bob ~ what happened?

Lost an arguement with a kitchen counter... REALLY!!

(Well... I dropped something while standing next to a kitchen counter, and instinctively made a grab to catch it before it hit floor/dogs got it. Caught what I'd dropped, but grazed an edge of the counter in the process - and the damn glued-on vernier bit me!)

Needed surgery on my right index finger: completely severed 1 tendon, cut halfway through a second, went 25% through a third tendon, and took pieces off both sides of a knuckle joint. 27 (or 28 - lost count) stitches so far, will be in a cast until at least 06/14, with a few months of physical therapy to look forward to after that.

After a little judicious left-handed cutting & filing, I finally managed to shave enough off the cast to enable me to shift the Evo. Now I can hold a bottle for my newborn again, but haven't been able to figure out how to change her diapers yet (without going through some really weird, awkward, and extremely painful contortions...)

Was planning on trying AutoX after I got new rims/tires on car.

Now, the wife is absolutely convinced that I've been personally targetted by whomever is responsible for handing out bad luck.

Somebody volunteer to teach her how to drive my Evo - might be the only way to change her mind about modding/AutoX, etc.!!!! (I'll worry about beating her into the driver's seat after I heal, LOL)

Until then, SOMEBODY has to have the slowest Evo around, so I guess it'll have to be me... :(

no not the slowest... there was this guy at the CMU event who barely hit the gas pedal like he was in a meijer parking lot. He must not have been broken in yet.

It was a CMU Professor, maybe he had the dealer install a governor on it. I think it would be silly to drive the car hard before break in because to seat the brakes, tires, and suspension properly is also important. I beg to differ that the engine can handle itself off the showroom floor from new. I think they also tell you to break it in so you understand the car slowly and then you get more respect for it.

true... engine should be partially broken in from the factory, but tranny and cluthc is a different story, i'd guess. Professor huh? I can't see someone wearing a sweater vest and sitting in an Evo.. .doesn't seem right.

None of my professors wore a sweater vest. I had some professors that wore blue jeans/shorts. YOu get what you pay for at Central.

well at least they call 'em professors at CMU. At LCC (Lansing Community College) they call 'em "Instructors" cuz they don't have doctorates, just masters, usually.

Oh wow I didn't know there as a difference! Any news on the spotted cards?

Nah, not enough progress so far. Been fairly busy & having a rough time with fingers so messed up.

Not satisfied with results using any of the programs I've got - probably end up going to Photoshop.
