Lets start planning for the WoodWard Dream Cruise!!! :)

Like the title says...

I know we have talked about it at some of our impromptu mini-meets and it was also discussed at the Mongolian BBQ meet.

Personally, I envision as many of us as possible lined up somewhere on WoodWard with a miEVO.NET banner displayed proudly above us.

So....lets get this going....I know we have a few months, but time will go by soooooo fast and we don't want to get stuck with nowhere to park.

We need....
-Someone who has a connection to a store owner willing to donate (or lease for cheap) his front spots ON Woodward.
-A list of definate people to attend this so we know haw many spots we need.
-We need big Joe to approve all this...:)
-A BIG ASS BANNER to gain attention and to let people know WHO WE ARE!!


C'mon guys...let the ideas fly...I want a HUGE EVO turnout!

Alright I can take care of the banner. I have access to a sweet screen printer. I just need the design done for me. I can get it done for free. It will be paper so we will have to be creative with out display although it should work out OK. I would like to see a 3 foot by 20' banner and then maybe a few small ones. I have the ability to get full color and pictures of graphics OR cars can be included. This will have to be in the works.

As far as the location I don't live down there so someone else will need to do the looking. Why do I have to do all the work :shock: ??? j/k! I say we get the lot approved to have a grill and do some BBQ and make it real. I really look forward to this and having a large EVO/Lancer turnout would be awesome.

Getting a spot is the determining fact. If we don't have a spot a lot of people won't show, including myself. Last year there was just too much stop and go. I want to sit and eat! :shock:

I agree completely!!! The MAJOR reason I started this it to get a lot NOW, while it is still early....someone here HAS to have a hookup.

My ears are open and I have my friends looking, but, the spots I have used for the past few years have been my family's....so room for me and thats it. I have no problem moving to be with my fellow miEVO members!!!

My advice is to just spread the word and ask around.....thats what I am doing...

If we have to I would consider paying some money for renting the lot. I think every member would be willing to toss in like $20 to do that, I assume right? Then we could call places and see if they would want to be paid for sitting on their parking lot.

I talked to Matt Gold with some ideas....some of you know him and some don't. Matt has a strong love and knowledge for the import biz and a shitload of connections in the industry. I planted the seed for something EVO during the WW dream cruise, now I just need him to find the time to help.......

Yeah, MattGold wanted me to talk to his former co-worker from MotoVicity aka specmo ( on woodward)

The originnal idea was to have him and Exedy do something with a trailer on WW there, with free schwag and stuff, but the WW dream cruise kinda doesn't fit their target demographic....they dont make clutches for 57 chevy's...lol.

I still plan on talking to the specmo guy and seeing what their feelings were....the building looked dormant to me last I saw....dunno...I need more time.
