Was poking around at mLive.com looking at job postings for my g/f, and came across this:

If you are interested in being part of a revitilization team in Ann Arbor, MI, we have an opportunity for a Principal Vehicle Test Engineer. Primary responsibility is to create strategies for performing various vehicle evaluations for the purpose of specification confirmation/validation testing as well as benchmark research projects. This position will plan, perform, evaluate and report on test projects to complete vehicle evaluations as well as vehicle systems and components. Man, if only they didn't require a Bachelors Degree (never had time to get a degree - too busy working my ass off to support my family...)

As a former Quality Manager in the automotive/plastics/tool & die industry - I'm already crazy! (If you'd been in the automotive industry since you were 4 years old [family business], after 39 years in the automotive business you'd be crazy too!)

I will have a BA although NOT 6-9 years of experience.

I think I may just submit a resume. I only have three years out of school (plus 2 in internships & co-ops, but none in automotive), but my Playa status should give me the edge.
(I can't believe I just wrote Playa in public)

I have associates and like 5 years of machining skills. and... i can tfind shit for engineering jobs
