Anyone going to the Detroit Region Solo School next weekend? Just curious. I think I'm gonna have the misses tear it up the the all-powerful xB. Butter.

Where is this event listed at? I would appreciate if you could post a link up of all the AutoX events that you have found. It is too soon for me.

I'll be there as an instructor, the driving portion will be held at the Silverdome. I also happen to be the course designer so I'll be trying to make it Evo friendly, while still being instructive of course. No guarantees on the xB. :)
More info is available here. As of a couple days ago, spots were still available for the school.

Here's another link for all the larger Central Division solo events.

Good stuff, mov_ovr. Correct me if I'm wrong, but SCCA membership is required. I think you can sign up for Detroit Region (?) at the event. mov_ovr, is the registration by the 16th set in stone, or can one show up Satruday morning?

SCCA membership is required but registrar should be able to take care of this for you even on Saturday of school, they can also take registration if there are openings. Not ideal but should work.
BTW, if you need help w/ coilover install, give Andy a call @ Showcase Mitsu. They can probably help w/ the install and alignment. I don't know about the D2s specifically but PM me or we can talk next weekend about my thoughts for a proper autox or street suspension, lots of junk w/ just hype out in market. I've personally tested more than my fair share.

John Tak, welcome to the site (Andy's co-driver).
Are you two ready this year in Andy's NEW 05' RS since he sold his 04'? I understand both of you only had a couple months to prep the car.
I'll be seeing you at the Oscoda, Toledo, and Peru events. Also some of the CenDiv events when I can find the time.
Joe Fehrma in his STI seems the guy to beat in ESP this year. Good luck!
Dave
PS. John, I can't seem to find a Ralliart rear strut bar. What can Andy get a Mitsu factory one for?

Dave,
Car will be ready next month, which is a big head start on last year. We'll have some significant new surprises up our sleeve, some of which won't be exposed right away. I'm looking forward to going up against Joel and Tommy, it should be a good fight. In the end, I think our suspension will be better sorted (you'll be going up against a similar setup that we helped devise for Daddio this winter) but the Subi will have a rear power bias advantage. We'll see how they do on a larger Nationals type course.
As for the strut bar, are you talking of the tower bar or the RS bar that is at the rear of trunk floor? The one on the floor is highly recommended (hard to believe but it is needed, sold to a couple guys already) and is less than $50 and lightweight, give Andy a call. I'm not sure about the rear tower bar.

Thanks in advance. Still being a newbie, I'm looking forward to some training and knowledge on how to set up my car. I'll definitely find you on Saturday.
