I've been checking out all the carbon fiber for the EVO and think it would look good on the Tarmac black.
If I go with carbon fiber, should I just do some accents or go all out and
do the hood, trunk, splitters, pillars, etc...
Let me know what you think and if any of you have gone carbon crazy on yours.

Honestly, I think black is the one color that carbon fiber doesn't look good on :( The parts end up looking dirty rather than CF.

I think it looks tits, although unless it is really doing something for performance then I think the money is best spent somewhere else. Some cars are meant to be jewled up with CF and others the stock factory look is real nice.

Although someday if I want the Veilside type 1 kit(I think) made in CF looks real nice. And it comes in carbon fiber!

I know that the stock carbon fiber spoiler doesn't stick out as good as it does on the other colors :?
but I think if done right carbon fiber and black could look tight.

I still plan on doing performance upgrades, but I want some show with my go

I would do hood, pillars, and some CF lookalike on the interior to match things up nicely... I wouldn't bother with the other panels and bumpers... you could also strip the paint off the rest of the wing to reveal the cf underneath. I've seen some pics of it done and looks nice.

Yeah I'm only into CF as a functional material, not an accent. So I'm not into CF as an interior dress up part, but I love the CF wing, if that make sense.

I love carbon fiber! The set-up I'm going for is Yellow on carbon/black look.
Black on carbon would be nice, but tuff to always keep clean. I love black cars, I had black cars, but they need cleaned all the time.

That said, I love CF. If you like it on black, then all's good. I'd say go for a hood, front lip (I'm jealous of the CF lip Evo's can get), and some interior accents (I know, not functional, but it's perdy)

we can do up some www.miEVO.net decals in carbon fiber vinyl, if anyone one would prefer that over red, yellow or white.

I'll second that...functional and astectically pleasing, but those damn curbs and pot holes.....

thats got to be the worst thing about tuner cars in michigan...potholes
I'm living out in a lake community and the damn county peagraveled all the roads around me. between the loose gravel and the potholes, its like rally racing. and having a black EVO I can't keep it clean to show it off

sometimes rally cars look good with a good coat of dirt on them! sorta like a jeep commercial. :)

Yeah yor can get some sweep splatter effects, it's especially sweet when you get them in weird places like your mirrors.

Slim1974 - sounds like you need a set of mudflaps.

I bit the bullet & got in on the EvoM GB for the Ralliart mudflaps: haven't gotten any new paint chips since, and the changed sweep/splatter effects (like Pyrovice mentioned) look pretty unusual.

Friend of mine picked up a set of the RallyArmour mudflaps for $50 - as soon as he installs them, we're gonna do a side-by-side photo comparison. (My stock LY = black Ralliart mudflaps w/white lettering vs. his lowered WW = black RallyArmour mudflaps w/red lettering.)

Here is my VIS Carbon trunk lid. Check out my smoked tails too. I think It looks great. The carbon lid is about 30 lbs lighter than stock BTW.
