miEVO.net Vinyl Decal

I have had a single request for some simple vinyl decals that state the obvious:

I have been thinking about this and personally love the idea. I would be more than willing to get something started. I think the decal should be kept simple with a limited slection of colors like: Red, White, Blue, and Yellow. A single color piece of vinyl will cost the least. I would suspect with shipping charges and everything should be less than $15 for a single decal. This is a starting price, although I will be more in scope once I go get a few quotes for this job.

I think we want two types of decals...one that is like 5" x 30" and one that is like 2" x 10" or something like that. The smaller decall will probably only come in standard white, and depending on the price of that I may make standard issue, as in; if your a member here you have to at least wear that decal. That is still in the air though.

I prefer small. To me, it'd be idea if it were something that could either fit on the small window on the rear doors, or down on the sideskirts. If it were on the windows, red would be my color choice, but if it were on the sideskirts, I'd prefer a dark gray (dark gray on silver = hot)

I generally don't like stickers on my car, but I'm willing to fly my colors as long as it doesn't look tacky. :wink:

I have access to a vinyl cutter. I can make some up and see how they look, if you know your design.

I agree that at least all the Evos on this forum should get at least the smaller sticker. White would be OK with me if it was in my side or rear window. I also wouldn't mind a bigger one if some members want it.

the mitsu star would have to be red , IMO.

If it's red, and the rest isn't red, it might need to be three different pieces, one for each star, and then the words. Maybe having a link to where we can buy the MItsu stars if we want them, but not requiring us to have them would be alright.

given the financial situation of MMC, I don't mind representin, especially if it means helping to keep them up and running and having the possibility of buying another Evo someday!

I think it would be wonderful if 8,9 and 10 were all available, that way we could put white or red on windows, and black on body. That way, everyone doesn't have to put them in the same spot necessarily...

It would also be cool to offer both big and small, that way we can choose our level of ricedness :wink:

single color is the easiest, but any font or shape can be cut
I have been trying to figure out a cool way to mix together the mitsu diamonds w/ the biohazard symbol. they fit together perfect, but I don't want an overlay look.

I have not heard from him in like forever. Gosh!! Maybe the same day I go to the WMR AutoX at wings stadium I should meet up with him. Last I knew the shop that is helping him give these things out was not kosher with $200 of free vinyl without some type of representation.

I think I should make the Wings event our next major event. It is a long ways from me but there is some people in Lazoo that should get a chance to hang with all the club!

Last year the wings event was kinda crappy. Crappy weather, crappy parking lot, crappy cars attended (including my stock celica, hehe). Even hondas aren't in abudance around here anymore. The glory days of autox'ing at the SWEET WMU parking lots are gone.

If a big miEVO turnout is expected, I will help make some arrangements for some kind of a get together afterwards. I live about 10 mins from Wings stadium and am looking for a reason to piss my neighbors off.

I was told by someone that the lot is now larger, newly paved and will have a decent setup. It is also WMR's first event of the year so I think it would be a good kick off and I want to return the favor to those on the west side of the state so we can get some fun going down there.

Unfortunately, I will be at the Car & Driver event the same weekend of the WMR Wings stadium event. Bummer, would have liked to meet some of you.

The GVSU Furrin group AutoX event this past weekend was pretty good. I lost 1st by .002 in SM. A very tight course which favored the smaller less hp cars. There were 2 other Evo's, one black and one yellow, in A-Stock. Any of those two on this forum? I never caught up to chating with either of them.
