Alright I finally got my wheels powdercoated. It seems like my EVO has had more wheel colors than a girl getting ready in the morning. From silver to black to bronze and now to white. I have ever only seen one blue EVO with white wheels so I am not the first but I may be the first to do this to stock wheels. The guy that did these wheels is willing to do more wheels if anyone is interested I can explain the process so you can justify the price.

I also integrated the Enkei stickers for a bit more class. Cool huh!?

Also one of the last pictures you can see where I stripped all of the black paint off of the front screens for a much cleaner look. This took hours and many cuts on the hands but it was worth it!

What was the price? My rattlecanned wheels aren't holding up so well, and I'm sure I'll get sick of repainting them every year.

White on blue looks really awesome.
I'm interested as well to know the price :) What is the lead time to do 4 wheels?

What was the process you used to have the white rims during Lansing meet? paint?

They costed around $300. The powder is extra.

It should take the guy about a week if he is not too backed up. Also he prefers if they were not painted before. This makes stripping just that much easier.

I would like to powder coat rims of my Datsun.
Those rims are already powder coated from the factory in silver.

I would like to change only the center of the rim. I guess previous powder coating need to be removed prior to apply a new color. Is it a bigger deal to let the lip of the rim unpainted / with no powder coating (masking?)?

Do you know a good shop in Metro area? So far, I've seen the Xceedspeed list and yellow pages, but with no feedback it's hard to pick one...
Should I expect a price tag of $300? less? more?

For your info, this is what I'm looking for ;)

Yeah it is more work to leave the the lip un coated, but it can be done. They guy that did mine is up here and does an ecellent job. I don't know anyone down there that does powdercoating. I will ask around.
