mech reads what the engine is doing and transfers it into the cockpit. electric reads the engine then sends it via a sending unit into the cockpit. For example, a boost gauge reads vac and pressure, a mech uses a small vac line and that line attaches to a vac/psi point on the engine then travels into the cockpit. a elec attaches to the engine with a sending unit that reads the vac/psi and then sends the information with wires (not a vac line) to the guage.
all those mods and no gauges? ah what psi are you running? I have seen the prosport. Look nice, and colorwise pretty close to our dash.

I have a prosport oil pressure, It is their more expensive one, which was still only 100, that's a steal for an electric. It had an annoying audio beep warning whenever the pressure went too low. Sometimes, when the rpm's dropped low while its hot out, the warning would go off. No big deal... but then it started to sometimes "lock up" squealing at me no matter what the oil pressure was, and it wouldn't stop until I shut the car off.
Since then, I've shut off the beeping and I'm back to liking the gauge.
