Hey Guys I was wondering, were there ever fog lights, and by those I mean the ones that would be in the front bumper not the ones in the headlight, for the Lancer, OZ...etc.... I really would like some fog lights there. Right now I have strobe lamps in the two bumper corners... it was a nice stealthy install, I shaved the back of the plastic pieces so that the backing was gone but the plastic mesh stayed and made custom brackets for the strobe lights. Doesn't look like anything is there until I turn them on. However, I want to move on to fog lights, strobes are fun, fog lights are functional ^_^

So, anyone hear of anything like that, and I know that japanparts has the fog lights that would fit in a Cedia, the OZ looking front lip and all, but man they want an arm and a leg for those.

I was really thinking about doing a custom install if nothing exists... the idea so far is to get 2 sets of these, and install them side by side, as in 2 lights per opening. What you guys think?

I would leave the "lens" part sticking out of the plastic, or make a mesh grill for them.... suggestions, comments, welcome ^_^

Dont know if this helps, but the 98+ Z-28/SS Camaro came with factory fogs that are exactly like those pics you attached. You can prby find them at a junk yard or at a Chevy parts dealer (NPD, etc...). Might beable to custom fit those into your Lancer.

Yeah ebay was the first place I looked... I keep coming up with these

But i have no idea where these would go, it somewhat looks like they mount in the corners of the "fog lights" openings that are in the bumper, but what about the rest of it, a cover maybe? and seeing as these are OEM replacement it means I should have all the wiring and switch, which I do not as I did not have OEM fog lights.

Thanks, I'll take a look, but if memory serves me right, aren't the fogs on the Camaro boxy/square?

Ah!!! thanks SmikeEvo I took a look and yeah they are exactly what I would want to use, took a look at junkyards and I could get them for about 40 a piece, so 80 for both... plus I would have to figure out a way to run the electrical, I am going to take a look on ebay for some that look more like the Camaro ones, as the ones I was looking at before stick out more, kinda like a bullet, where the Camaro ones are more rounded.

Thanks again.

Check out Cleveland Pick a Part too:

I was just there this last weekend with my brother looking for parts for his car.

Also, have you gone to AutoZone or Murrays? You might find some aftermarket ones that will also fit. Those in the Milan pics are from AutoZone (I think)...they are bright though.

Yeah I haven't really looked at any of the auto stores, although I live next to 2 lol. It's just a side project that I was thinking about doing, and as I just got my RRM Piggyback ECU I thought, hey why not kill 2 electrical wiring birds, with one stone lol.
