Okay, after finding a place to do my spring and getting all the tools i needed together; I took out my front strut assembly and had problems with getting it apart. The nut i need to take off the strut assembly is dipped inside an inch deep hole, and the instruction i found said to "hold the threaded part of the shaft still and remove the nut.." Well i cant do that with wrenches because of the hole and i couldn't do it with the sockets due to me having to holding the shaft...(the shaft just spins with the nut)
Now. I'm being told to use the impact wrench on the nut, but that doen't explain holding the threaded shaft.
I'm a little confused.
Should i not use a spring compressor and use the impact wrench till its loose then put the spring compressor back on an finish desassembling the strut. idk
The back two struts i know i can do with the tools i've gotten together but i just need to be pointed in the right direction with the front two...
any suggestiong will help..
Thanks

Put the spring compressors onto the spring and compress the spring a bit, just to keep it from flying when you take everything apart. Then use the impact wrench to remove the nut at the top of the strut. Do all the disassembly with the impact, you won't need hand tools (and they won't really help)
