Just got my Race Fmic back from the anodizers and thought I would post a few pics of it on the car

oh you mean the anodizing ? I had a metal shop anodize it for me ... it is quite the process... at one stage my 700 dollar intercooler was in a vat of sulphuric acid :shock:

Though about doing the IC to match the red Ralliart pipes, but it'd probably make my LY look like it's got a bloody mouth... and wife says "NO MORE YELLOW!"

its a company out here in jackson that did it for me Metal finishing something
I will get the full title when I get home and look at the receipt
yeah red might be a bit much I think but then again its your car do what you whatever you want to as long as you like it ... that is all that matters :)

Talk about a BIG fricking FMIC. The black looks so sweet. You make me want to get whatever IC I get done the same way. Did you just get the front side coated or the entire thing?

Did you redo your IC pipes or you still using the ones that were with the car? How is the difference in response with this IC?

No the entire intercooler is anodized... remember that anodizing is very different from plating because they dip the entire unit in these big tubs so I doubt there is anyway to just coat one side of it
I ended up using the existing pipes as I am currently too lazy to make pipes even though I have al the bends and couplers to make a 2.5 inch complete lower and full 3inch upper... but Like I said I was feeling lazy. :)

Response from the IC I can definitely tell a difference by the butt dyno but more testing is required to make an estimate of what power the car is making

its just the draft piece joe, the new one is going to be done as soon as I finish my dash and lexan windows on the race car :twisted:
p.s if you are talking about new mods on the evo
nothing new there .... but I am hoping to have the rest of the defis, gruppe s panel and radio relocation on the car before the meet :)

the red car is just kicking my ass though ..... I started to pull the entire chasis harness out, which was a pain in the rear.....then I removed the driver side window out ... another pain in the butt....
things ordered for it and on the way

SPEEDglass molded driver and passenger side door glass
Tial 38mm with 40mm head with a 1.6 bar spring (need one more now)
miscelaneous aluminum and steel for fabrication.

also on the other project The 351 motor most likely will arrive at the house on friday... GT40P HEADS on route as well

so as you can see having 3 projects going on at once absolutely sucks :evil:

Sounds like a number 2 racecar, the 351W with some sweet flowing heads. I see some tire smoking fun there.

Well thats the goal for the red car, to see if the new chasis, wheelie bars and overall safety of the vehicle is better than before..... basically I have to teach myself how to drive the car again since the wheelie bars have a different feel when you launch . and if they are not adjusted properly , it could get reallll squirly down the track.... I HAVE pulled close to 100 pounds of weight out of the car.... the goal is 2200 ilbs with me in it which I might not achieve... as I now weigh close to 150 ... my normal weight during this time of the year is 130 so I have been dieting accordingly

The 351w came out of a truck with a lot of miles.... so the lower end will be freshened up when funds allow ... but antilagracing is paying for that project ... :) The gt40p heads as soon as I get them have been scheduled to be flowed so that I have a good baseline of power the motor will put out with a 871 weiland utilizing a 1:1 ratio pulley on it (approx 8psi i THINK ) OF boost.... also another issue is the fact that it is a carbed motor which will be quite different for me as I have never even messed with a carbed car... hell I WAS laughing my ass off when I saw finally what a push rod was :) :lol:

the vr4 that is on the major back burner.. but it will be torn apart and completed before the end of summer... put one run on it and then sell it :(
